AI browser

Stoic Browser vs Dia

An AI browser for knowledge work, or one built around running products.

Checked 12 Oct 2026 · Dia site

The short answer

Pick Dia for chat that understands your tabs, Slack, Notion and calendar, with sync and an ad blocker. Pick Stoic Browser if your agent should act in signed-in product dashboards, be driven over MCP, and replay chores on a schedule.

  • Dia's AI comes with its paid plans; Stoic Browser uses your own coding CLIs or a local model
  • Dia integrates Slack, Gmail, Notion, GitHub and more; Stoic Browser's agents work on the pages themselves
  • Stoic Browser runs on Linux too; Dia is macOS and Windows
  • Dia syncs across devices and blocks ads; Stoic Browser keeps everything in one local file

What each one is

Stoic Browser

Stoic Browser is a desktop browser for founders who run more than one product. Each product gets a workspace with its own logins, your installed coding agents (Claude Code, Codex and 14 more) work inside those workspaces, outside agents can drive them over MCP, and recorded chores replay on a schedule. Free for 2 workspaces; Pro is $29 once.

Dia

Dia, from The Browser Company (part of Atlassian since October 2025), is an AI browser for work on macOS and Windows. The free plan covers profiles, tab groups, split view, an ad blocker and sync; paid plans add chat across your tabs and tools such as Slack, Gmail and Notion, a Morning Brief, and reports and decks.

What does Dia cost?

The browser is free. On 12 October 2026 Dia's pricing page listed the Better Answers plan at $10/month in its plan table (its FAQ said $20) and Better Days at $100/month. Check Dia's pricing page for the current figure.

Is Stoic Browser an Arc or Dia replacement?

If you want workspaces, isolated logins, split view and a command palette, it covers that. It is built around operating products rather than general knowledge work, so it adds automations, Crawl Mode and agent access instead of tool integrations and sync.

Free for 2 workspaces. No account needed. macOS, Windows and Linux.
