Is Stoic Browser a Comet alternative?

For agent work in signed-in accounts, yes. For research it is a different shape: Comet's assistant is Perplexity search inside a browser, while Stoic Browser runs the coding agent you already have inside per-product workspaces.

Do I need a Perplexity or other AI subscription to use Stoic Browser?

No. Stoic Browser adds no AI subscription of its own. It uses a coding CLI you have installed, such as Claude Code or Codex, or a model running on your machine through Ollama, LM Studio or llama.cpp.

Can I use both?

Yes. They don't conflict: keep Comet for research and everyday browsing, and use Stoic Browser for the product workspaces and scheduled chores.
